It's worth mentioning that Mahsa's real name was Jina which is a Kurdish name not allowed by the government. Not related to the Islamic Republic but ethnic discrimination.

Also, women, life, freedom (Jin, zhiyan, Azadi) started in Kurdistan approximately 40 years ago and became viral when the Kurdish women defeated isis in Syria. It's now fueling the Iranian revolution, which is beautiful. This Slogan has been there in the Kurdish part of Iran.
